Why

"A decent short of fiction with a 'pulp' style feel to it. I enjoyed its analysis of one of life's great losers and his thoughts and his own untimely demise just as there seemed to be light of hope at the end of the tunnel. It sort of reminded me of something from 'Jim Thompson' territory, and I feel that is why I enjoyed it so much."
